Should the EU induce stronger regulation on online platforms? And if so, how? How could an appropriate and fair taxation of digital business models in the EU Single Market look like? These are just a few examples of the digital challenges facing the European Union today. At the well-attended event, young professionals from politics, business and associations followed the presentations by Pola Schneemelcher and Paul-Jasper Dittrich.
After a short introduction by Sylvia Schmidt, Paul-Jasper Dittrich outlined the current discussion on the regulation of online platforms in the EU. Subsequently, Pola Schneemelcher presented the debate on fair and appropriate taxation of digital business models. Sylvia Schmidt moderated the following discussion with the participants.
