“I think that this generation will be the most qualified generation EU ever had. So I hope that this will be the generation for peace, education, innovation and prosperity”, says Anna Diamantopoulou in her conversation with Aart De Geus, Chairman of the Board of Bertelsmann Stiftung, at the fringe of the 2016 issue of the Young Leaders for Europe forum. Diamantopoulou is currently President of Diktio Network for Reform in Greece and Europe, Athens. She was EU-Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities (1999-2004), Greek Minister for Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs (Oct 2009-Mar 2012) and Minister for Development, Competitiveness and Shipping (Mar-May 2012).
