Project completed – the topic remains highly relevant
The Social Cohesion Radar project ended at the end of 2024. This website documents the project's findings and outputs from 2011 to 2024. The Bertelsmann Stiftung continues to address questions related to social cohesion in different ways through the projects of its Democracy and Social Cohesion Program. In the future, empirical data on the development of social cohesion in Germany will be collected and reported on regularly as part of the Religion Monitor.
Social Cohesion Radar data available for research and teaching
Survey data from the Social Cohesion Radar collected since 2015 are available for academic research and teaching through GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences. The corresponding methodological reports and questionnaires are also available there. Some publications (and research data) related to the Social Cohesion Radar are available only in German. To access these materials, please switch to the German version of the website.
