Experts from various occupational and specialist areas convened in Berlin on September 12 and 13 to discuss the challenges, opportunities and key trends underlying the future of mobility. The discussion included taking perspectives on intelligent networks, automation and mobility today, while considering current key assumptions and technological and the societal framework conditions of today. This resulted in initial mobility development ideas for different user groups throughout the next ten to twenty years. Ideas that can now be developed into more concrete scenarios.

Digital technologies are changing the face of mobility concepts: The connection between cities and rural areas—and the connections within cities and rural areas—need a rethink. Reinhard Mohn Prize 2017
The workshop is part of the “Mobility within livelihood and digitalization”. It is part of the Reinhard Mohn Prize 2017 and is conducted together with IESE (Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering). The findings will be published in the Spring of 2017. The question at the center of the work is how innovative mobility concepts can ensure participation for everyone in the future.
