Conference Conversations

Has there been real buy-in and engagement in the Conference process by youth and civil society representatives? Is the Conference a useful opportunity for civil society to have a say in the future of Europe? Do young people feel like they are being represented and how do they see their role within the Conference process? Have more than just the ‘usual suspects’ been engaging with the Conference? What values are civil society and youth most concerned with? What do they hope to concretely achieve, be it on climate and environment, tech policy, education, democratic values, diversity and LGBTQI+ rights, and how can their aspirations be realised?

Have a look at the video below, how our panel of speakers

Conference Conversations is part of the Conference Observatory, a joint initiative by an international consortium comprising the Bertelsmann Stiftung, the European Policy Centre, the King Baudouin Foundation, and the Stiftung Mercator. The Conference Observatory aims to observe, critically analyse and inspire the Conference deliberations. Based on the lessons learned, the initiative will also develop proposals aiming to improve the EU’s future participatory and democratic architecture.
