Cathryn Clüver Ashbrook joined the Bertelsmann Stiftung's "Europe's Future" programme as a Senior Advisor in August 2022. She is an expert on transatlantic relations and US politics. She began her career in 1999 as a correspondent for CNN. This was followed by positions at the consulting firm Roland Berger and at the Harvard Kennedy School, where she founded the research programme on the future of foreign policy. In 2021, Clüver Ashbrook was appointed head of the German Council on Foreign Relations.
