Teresa Staiger: Project Manager

Teresa Staiger is a political scientist and expert on public interest-oriented artificial intelligence (AI). She currently serves as Project Manager in the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s “reframe[Tech]” project, where she is responsible for the strategic direction of the foundation’s work on the responsible development and use of generative AI. Her work focuses on analyzing AI developments from a critical societal perspective, including a recent study on the data foundations of foundation models.

Previously, she led the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s multistakeholder project “Tech Exploration in the Welfare Sector.” Prior, she worked as a policy officer in the “Forum Digitalisierung und Engagement” project at Bundesnetzwerk Bürgerschaftliches Engagementt. In addition to her current work, she publishes a biweekly newsletter titled Erlesenes zu KI und Gemeinwohl.

Zuvor leitete sie das Multistakeholder-Projekt „Tech-Exploration in der Wohlfahrt“ der Bertelsmann Stiftung. 2020 bis 2022 war sie als Referentin im Projekt „Forum Digitalisierung und Engagement“ des Bundesnetzwerk Bürgerschaftliches Engagement tätig. Neben ihrer aktuellen Tätigkeit publiziert sie den zweiwöchentlichen Newsletter Erlesenes zu KI und Gemeinwohl.
