Short Vita

Jana Fingerhut holds a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences from the University of Cologne and a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of Göttingen. She has worked at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization and in a joint project between the State Association for Renewable Energies and NABU (Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union), focusing on optimizing permitting procedures for wind energy installations.

 

She is currently part of the project Employment in Transition within the program Sustainable Social Market Economy. Her work centers on understanding which skills and professions are needed in the labor market to drive the ecological transformation. By analyzing several million online job postings, she contributes to greater transparency on labor market trends. The findings are published on the dashboard Jobmonitor.de, helping regional labor market actors align training and qualification programs with actual demand.
