Focus Paper: Free Trade from Lisbon to Vladivostok

A free trade agreement between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union would bring considerable growth potential and could lead to a de-escalation of the political relationship between the two trading blocs. The exchange of goods and services would see a strong increase. Especially the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union would also experience substantial welfare gains. The political rivalry between the two trading blocs would be overcome.
