US-China Conflict: Europeans want a stronger Europe

Three out of four Europeans are concerned about the conflict between the United States and China. That is one of the findings from our opinion survey in the 28 EU member states. The survey reveals marked differences in how EU citizens perceive the two superpowers. One area where Europeans are particularly critical of the People's Republic is data protection. China's Economic Footprint in the Western Balkans

Geopolitics has returned to vogue, and the EU does not enjoy a monopoly on influence in the Western Balkans. China is the latest player on the scene, and although its economic footprint is still relatively small, Beijing's growing presence is a new reality that Brussels needs to contend with.
