The jury has reached its decision: The Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Svetlina Stoyanova and the South Korean bass Cho ChanHee are the winners of the 17th NEUE STIMMEN International Singing Competition. In the competition's anniversary year, the two singers prevailed against formidable competitors. After four exciting days singing and rehearsing, the semifinals of the NEUE STIMMEN competition are about to take place. The tension mounts. Which of the 16 semifinalists will make it to the finals? The 10-member jury will decide, but audience members also have a role to play – they must choose their favorite.

In the course of our global research for the Reinhard Mohn Prize 2018 “Living Diversity – Shaping Society” we became acquainted with the Tot Raval Foundation. Since its founding in Barcelona’s Raval district in 2001, the Foundation has worked to empower the community in diversity. The video showcases the neighborhood’s vibrant community life and the Foundation’s work in this regard.
