As part of the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels, the Bertelsmann Stiftung presented a new study on the readiness of European regions for the digital and green transition. A panel discussion on the overall implications of the results of the study for EU cohesion policy followed. The panel included: Dr. Katharina Gnath, Senior Project Manager, Bertelsmann Stiftung; Dr. Atanas Kolev, Principal Advisor, Economics Department, European Investment Bank; Dr. Mark Speich, State Secretary for Federal, European and International Affairs and Media, North Rhine Westphalia, and member of the European Committee of the Regions; and Dr. Cinzia Alcidi, Director of Research at the Center for European Policy Studies.
