GED BRIEFING: EU-India Trade Deal – Learn More about its Economic Effects and Policy Implications

Dear GED followers,

PLEASE JOIN US on Thursday, 1 June 2017 at 1.30 - 2.15 pm CEST (Berlin) for our GED Webinar. Dr. Christian Bluth and Dr. Cora Jungbluth from the Global Economic Dynamics (GED) team will present the key findings of our new study "Europe and India: Relaunching a Troubled Trade Relationship". The study analyzes the potential economic effects of the free trade agreement, which the EU and India have been negotiating since 2007. Afterwards, our colleague Murali Nair, Senior Project Manager at the Germany and Asia Program of Bertelsmann Stiftung, will discuss the policy implications of such an agreement with special regard to India.

Please register here …it’s free!

The interactive online session will provide an overview of the potential economic effects of the EU-India free trade agreement and possible implications for EU-India relations.

Specifically, we will focus on the following questions:

• What is the current state of negotiations between the EU and India?
• How would a comprehensive trade deal affect GDP, bilateral trade volumes and sectoral value-added in the EU and India?
• Which role does the agreement play for the relations between the two economic powers?
• Which are the challenges and opportunities of the agreement, especially for India as an emerging economy?

Please join our discussion online or by phone!

We look forward to greeting you online!

If you register for our webinar, a reminder will be sent to you automatically one hour prior to the beginning of the event.

Kind regards,
