The International Association for Human Values has awarded its annual Ethics in Business Prize to Dr. Brigitte Mohn, member of the Bertelsmann Stiftung Executive Board.

First awarded in 2006, the prize recognizes outstanding public figures who have demonstrated their support of basic human values and ethic principles. According to IAHV, Mohn was awarded the prize in recognition of her work in the healthcare sector, in particular for projects focusing on the needs of patients and the public.

The award ceremony took place on November 6, 2009, in the European Parliament in Brussels during the association’s International Business & Leadership Conference. The conference brings together leaders from the political, business, academic and civil society spheres to engage in dialogue on a range of topics, including innovative leadership styles, sustainability issues and corporate profitability.
