''Chancenspiegel''

It examines how social background and migration-related inequalities currently impact educational outcomes and how the situation is likely to change in the near future. The publication's findings and analysis are made available to the general public once a year. The goal is to stimulate debate on education-related issues and to support reforms aimed at improving the quality of education and equal opportunity within the country's school system.

With three issues initially scheduled for publication, "Chancenspiegel" makes use of leading indicators to illustrate current educational trends throughout Germany and to detail innovative strategies for increasing equal opportunity and educational performance at the school, regional and state levels. At the same time, developments in Germany are examined in the international context.
