Regulation no longer stops at national borders. Each nation has an impact on the next, while the European Union has become a key actor within Europe. Increasingly, organizations and entire countries must respond to challenges similar to those facing Germany -- namely, devising ways to make laws, the legislative process and public administration more cost-effective, efficient and, simply put, better.

Focus Areas

Community of Practice / IRRN

Germany is not alone in trying to improve its regulatory environment. A cross-border network is therefore necessary to bring together experts and practitioners from around the world to exchange experiences, gather new ideas and learn from their peers.

EU: Better regulation

The Modern Regulation project is represented in Brussels as well, in order to observe and support activities dedicated to creating better legislation at the European level and in EU member states. Our Brussels team also maintains contact with EU institutions and European think tanks.
