In an international project, the Dutch model for practice assessment visits was developed further and aligned with the conditions in various healthcare systems. In the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, existing catalogs of indicators and practice visitation methods were consolidated into a common European method, supplemented with features particular to each nation, and tested in general practitioners’ practices.
