Network for Career Advising Seal of Approval (Netzwerk Berufswahl-SIEGEL)
The project’s objective is to improve career counseling in schools. To this end, schools are awarded a seal of approval for outstanding achievement in helping students to choose a career or educational path.
The project operated as a regional pilot project (in Gütersloh, Bielefeld and Herford) from January 2002 to August 2004. It proved so successful that other regions have adopted the concept, including Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Hanover, Wuppertal, and Mönchengladbach, and a number of others have shown interest as well. In response, the Bertelsmann Stiftung has now launched a network for exchanging experience and expertise. It will help participants and other interested parties develop and define a common concept for quality. The network will also promote and spread the concept to other states and regions.
Project duration: January 1, 2002, to December 31, 2006
