Soprano Eunju Kwon takes the top prize at the 2009 "NEUE STIMMEN" competition
Her arias "No word from Tom" from Stravinsky's "The Rake's Progress" and "Eccomi in lieta vesta" from Bellini's "I Capuleti e i Montechi" convinced the jury to award the soprano the top prize.

The South Korean enthralled the jury with his arias "Madamina" from Mozart's "Don Giovanni" and "La calunnia" from Rossini's "Il Barbiere di Siviglia."

During the finals, South Korea's third-prize winner sang the arias "Dies Bildnis ist bezaubernd schön" from Mozart's "Zauberflöte" and "Che gelida manina" from Puccini's "La Bohème".

4th Prize goes to Pavel Kolgatin.
Singing "Dal labbro il canto" from Verdi's "Falstaff" and "Una furtiva lagrima" from Donizetti's "L'elisir d'amore" in the finals, the tenor won over his listeners, taking home 4th Prize, the Young Performer's Award of the City of Yokosuka.

In the finals, the soprano sang "Ach ich fühl's" from Mozart's "Zauberflöte" and "Je marche sur tous les chemins / obéissons" from Massenet's "Manon."
