Soprano Marina Rebeka from Latvia won first prize at the Bertelsmann Stiftung's 12th NEUE STIMMEN International Singing Competition.

Music is a global language that builds bridges of understanding. The Neue Stimmen International Singing Competition and Master Classes recognize outstanding up-and-coming opera singers. The singing competition, launched in 1987, is recognized as one of the most important international markets for young opera singers. It offers them an opportunity to establish contacts to members of the jury, directors of opera companies and agents.
