Expert commission: Senior Citizen Policy (Ziele in der Altenpolitik)
The Objectives for Senior Citizen Policy expert commission is charged with developing action-oriented policy recommendations. The Bertelsmann Stiftung has identified topics that are of particular relevance to the commission’s objectives.
The primary objectives are
- defining a new, modern approach to ageing and old age
- defining approaches for dealing sensitively with elderly populations—for prevention, geriatric rehabilitation and nursing care
- consolidating and exchanging expert information from academics and practitioners on the various approaches
- formulating a scientific/empirical assessment of the approaches
- formulating recommendations for policies on the elderly
- evaluating the methods (expert commission) and the findings
- and advising other project initiatives
