Stadtbibliothek Gütersloh opens its doors
In 1984, Stadtbibliothek Gütersloh GmbH, the city’s public library, opened its doors. The city of Gütersloh is the majority shareholder; the foundation holds 49 percent of the share capital. By 1996, one out of every two Gütersloh residents had visited the library.
