Improving Care
Working together for better healthcare
The Bertelsmann Stiftung carries out a range of projects designed to improve the quality of healthcare. In doing so, it collaborates with numerous partners, both internationally and within Germany.
In the International Network Health Policy and Reform, researchers from 20 developed countries work together to respond to the challenges that healthcare policymakers face around the globe. Through the Initiative for High-Quality Healthcare, the Bertelsmann Stiftung brings together stakeholders in the German healthcare system to ensure that the services provided actually reflect consumers’ needs.
In recent years, our quality-management projects have developed and documented methods and standards that ensure high-quality care, both in primary care practices and within systems designed to deliver integrated care. In addition, we promote the use of evidence-based procedures for treating people with back problems and coronary conditions.
