From administrative to political reform

The basic objective of the POLIS project is to sustain and improve local democratic processes. Unremunerated positions in the community must be strengthened. Local policymakers should be given the tools they need to play an active role in reforming local government. Administrative reforms, particularly organizational and personnel reforms, must be closely linked to the work of local political bodies. Finally, involvement in community politics must be made more attractive as a result of streamlined democratic leadership.
