With their joint project, the Bertelsmann Stiftung, BASF AG and the Volkswagen Foundation hope to support the quality of reporting on scientific issues in Germany over the long term. This program encompasses a diverse package of new training and continuing education offerings for journalists and scientists. In addition, the partners aim to strengthen communication among science, business and the media. After all, open dialogue is required for the best possible reporting—and for greater transparency in today’s information society.
