German-Israeli Young Leaders Exchange begins

The 2008 German-Israeli Young Leaders Exchange begins today in Germany. The program’s 28 participants from Israel and Germany will spend their time discussing in-depth issues impacting German-Israeli relations and the countries’ foreign and security policies. In addition, they will examine the partnership between their national parliaments and other cooperative efforts in the areas of politics, business and social affairs. They will also address common challenges such as migration and integration. The exchange will focus on teamwork, commemorative efforts, excursions and recent German literature. A member of the group will also contribute to a blog detailing each day’s happenings.
