2008 Carl Bertelsmann Prize: ''Integration through education -- Fairness for all''

As part of the 2008 Carl Bertelsmann Prize, the Bertelsmann Stiftung is carrying out an international search to identify best practices that increase equal opportunity for children of immigrant families within the educational system, thus promoting the children’s integration within their adopted country.

The international professional symposium took place in Gütersloh on September 3, and the prize was presented to the Toronto District School Board during a ceremony on September 4. See the "News" section for more details about both events.
