Japan Institute of Labour, JIL

The Japan Institute of Labour (JIL) was established January 1st, 1990 following the merger of two research organizations, the former Japan Institute of Labour and the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Research, which is a legal entity supervised by the Ministry of Labour. Subsidy from the Ministry of Labor is the main source of its budget. With 150 staff including 55 researchers, the Institute carries out researches and studies on labor issues. The research of the Institute is organised in five Research Programs within which the aims of the scientific programs are pursued, which are 1 Employment structure and labor supply and demand, 2 Socio-economic impact of internationalization in the labor mariket, 3 Aging society and better working life, 4 Industrial relations and labor law , 5 Carrer guidance system
