Egypt: Education as a force for transformation and development

Together with its partners the Bertelsmann Stiftung constructed Egypt’s first modern public library, in Cairo. As a patron-oriented public library applying business management methods, it is the model for an efficient branch system and the starting point for librarian certification in Egypt.
